T-34 m1942 # Ps. 231-4 | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
This T-34 m1942 (with prior registration number R-155) had the quite unusual "laminate" turret. The tank is currently an empty hull, but it seems like all or most of the external bits & pieces are preserved. The tank has been used as a "Soviet" tank in a few films and have now "new" roadwheels and tracks. The large hinges on the rear deck have been added some time between June 1943 and August 1947 (probably first after the war). The original three hinges were the usual small ones. The first set of pictures are taken in September 2020 by Mr. Heikki Jäntti at the Finnish Armour Museum in Parola, Finland. Heikki was one of the painters when the tank was repainted.
The next set of pictures are taken in August 2020 by Mr. Jarmo Lindgren at the repainting of the tank into it's wartime color scheme.
The next set of pictures are taken in April 2007 at the Finnish Armour Museum's storage in Parola, Finland. The first two pictures are taken by Mr. Jaakko Pihlaja at the same place after the turret has been lifted up on the hull. The next photos and text © Copyright by Andreas Lärka, Finland.
