Sturmgeschütz 40 G # Ps. 531-16 Chassis number: 92475, Alkett ~ May 1943. |
|||||||||||||||
This vehicle is probably also known as "Bob Fleming's StuG". When it served in the Finnish Army it had the registration-number of "Ps.531-16". Now the vehicle has been sold to: Jacques Littlefield, The Military Vehicle Technology Foundation, Portola Valley, California, U.S.A. The StuG is restored to the original German colour-scheme and the condition it was in when arriving in Finland in 1943. Well, except for the gun's travel lock, which in this particular case is a Finnish post-war addition, and the Schürzen brackets ("teeth") that are of a later model than the ones originally attached to this StuG. The pictures in the first half of the page are taken by Mr. Bob Moore at the MVPA International Convention, San Jose, California, June 24th - 26th 1999 and at The Military Vehicle Technology Foundation, Portola Valley, California, U.S.A. The pictures in the second half of the page are taken by Mr. Bob Fleming himself. Showing the StuG in different stages during the restoring.
