Sturmgeschütz III G # Ps. 531-47
Chassis number: 96479, MIAG ~ February 1944.
Sturmgeschütz III G # Ps. 531-47

This MIAG-manufactured vehicle is - despite it's sorry condition - very interesting. Featuring original MIAG-type Zimmerit, remains of the "J"-shaped extra-protection log -holders on the side of the fighting compartment and of course MIAG-type all-steel return rollers. The Zimmerit on the lower hull is only applied where a person easily can reach. Therefore the Zimmerit starts behind the drive sprockets and stops right before the idler wheel. A thing to take into consideration for modellers.
Furthermore, on the rear deck is the box for one post-war addition; the infantry telephone that made it possible for the escorting infantry to communicate with the crew of the StuG.
